My health journey in weight loss and reverse insulin resistance

Hi Everyone, this is Jane Chew here. I am a health coach and also the founder of the FabulousBodyMind.com. 

As a health coach, I help my clients to make lifestyle changes to achieve their optimal health. I started this career when I turned 50 years old. I realized the importance of reversing my health after seeing some of my family members sufferred from chronic disease,  I find that this career is so fulfilling as it allows me to be more aware of the need to take care of health of myself and my love ones and know I can spread this awareness to many more people through my courses and coaching programs.  

I like to share my body relationship with you. 

I was very active when I was young and involved in many sports such as running, basketball and fencing. However, things change when I started my career and i kind of ignored my health. That was when I started noticing my weight kept increasing and never drop even if I go for exercises. During my pregnancy, I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. However, my blood sugar level seems to be normal after the pregnancy. 

In my 40s I am growing even bigger size. I tried all sorts of diets such as keto diet, paleo diets or low card diets. I also pick up some exercises such as running and hiking. None of these worked, My weight just bounced back after awhile. Worst still, I was officially diagnosed with pre-diabetes. This means I have insulin resistance! This is alarming as pre-diabetes and diabetes is a serious health condition, It is a major cause of blindness, kidney failure, heart attacks, stroke and lower limb amputation

After going through some health courses and research, I found the root cause to my weight gain. I started the journey to reverse my health! By incorporating this body-mind health program, I managed to slim down and put by blood glucose under control.
